A Unique Partnership
The Arid Recovery initiative is made possible through a four-way partnership and with the recent change to our organisation's status to a new stand-alone entity, Arid Recovery Ltd., we recognise our Platinum supporters. BHP Billiton Olympic Dam is the major financial supporter and industry partner of Arid Recovery, the Friends represent the community and continue to provide significant invaluable support, The University of Adelaide continues to provide research and educational support, and the SA Department for Environment and Heritage (DEH) provides both financial and project support.

BHP Billiton Olympic Dam now operate the huge Olympic Dam mine and processing plant near Roxby Downs in South Australia, after taking ownership of WMC Resources in 2005. BHP Billiton Olympic Dam have donated most of the land used for the Reserve. The land is located on pastoral properties leased by BHP Billiton Olympic Dam.
BHP Billiton Olympic Dam support Arid Recovery by providing:

- Fencing
- Land
- Office space
- Administrative Support
The South Australian Dept for Environment & Heritage (DEH) is the governing body in charge of the conservation, protection and enhancement of South Australia's environmental resources.
DEH support Arid Recovery by assisting with:
- Obtaining native species for reintroductions
- Some monitoring of native flora and fauna
- Support via Friends of Parks Incorporated
- Monetary contribution
The University of Adelaide is a partner through the
School of Earth & Environmental Sciences.
The University supports Arid Recovery by providing:
- Assistance with research projects
- PhD and Honours students
- Scientific advice
The Friends of Arid Recovery formed in 1998 to provide community support and input into the program. Friends cover over 320 member households from all around Australia and the world, and volunteers have given invaluable assistance to so many aspects of the project including infrastructure and research, as well as raising funds via fundraisers and also assisting with working bees.
The Friends Group supports Arid Recovery by providing:
